Insulation
The Building Decree sets requirements with regard to the fire resistance of walls and floors. In order to guarantee these requirements, the penetrations and openings through the fire separations must be sealed in a fire-resistant manner.
Based on our knowledge and expertise, we can determine which products are suitable for each implementation to ensure that the stated requirement is met.
All our sealed penetrations and openings are provided with a unique number. This number can be found in our digital logbook, which is provided with data and photos. This logbook will be created for each project and provided to you upon completion.
Fire-resistant finishing of penetrations.
Fire-resistant cladding of a steel structure is an important step to protect the structure against fire. This can be done using fire-resistant coatings or by applying fire-resistant plates.
Fire resistant coatings can be applied directly to the steel and form an insulating layer that limits heat transfer. These coatings can be applied to the visible parts of the structure as well as to the parts hidden behind walls or ceilings.
Fire-resistant boards are usually made of a fire-resistant material such as plasterboard or cement fiber board. They provide an extra layer of protection and can also be used to aesthetically finish the construction.
